Apologies for the delay this week but it's that time of year when you are trying to find 18 fit bodies to make up a squad. ( Not quite true but we do have more than our fair share of walking and non walking wounded at the moment.)

Time pressures mean that Coach Baz's weekly 'Homily' is delayed but hopefully he will pen something for this evening.

With not far short of a full team producing 'sick notes' at the moment it is remarkable that we can still put out a team like that above where there is still no definable weakness. Long may it continue.

With the 'group of death' three weeks in January out of the way and results going pretty much with form and league position it's good to see that we are still in contention at the top and if you continue with form and league position ( with the top 3 all playing each other late season) we should, in theory be favourites for the play off spot. But then with sides having injuries and some of the basement boys recruiting hard to try and climb out of the relegation zone there are bound to be some surprises over the next couple of months.

I'm afraid the 2nd XV have had yet another late opposition drop out this week and because we had to push so many of the usual 3's up to the 2's we had to bow out of their fixture.
So I'm afraid we have no game at Hoe lane tomorrow but the Termites travel to OA's to take on their 'Grizzlies' Good luck lads.

Saturday Feb 24th is a date for the diary folks. Whilst all teams have a day off from league action the 2nd XV entertain Fullerians 1st XV in the semi final of the Herts Presidents Cup. We are planning to have a 3 course pre match lunch for about £15 a head and maybe a 'beer promotion' The game will be followed Scotland V England game (4.45ko) on the many screens around the clubhouse. It would be great to see the clubhouse full that day and cheer the boys on to a possible final at Allianz Park.
