Team to play Amersham & Chiltern

Ged Murphy13 Feb - 18:41

...and it's a home debut for Jack Johnson

The win against Southend last time out resulted in us leapfrogging both Shelford and old Northhamptonians to now sit 9th in the league on 32 points, the same as the teams one above and one below us.

We are fielding an almost identical side to the Southend game with the exception of the influential Alex Banna who is being rebuilt yet again.

That results in Alex Kay sliding back a row and his slot in the boiler house being filled by Louis Hudson moving from the bench to the starting XV.

That sees the return of Joe Stockwell for his first appearance of 2026.

It will also be the home debut ,at fullback, for newbie Jack Johnson, so make sure you give him a big Hoe Lane welcome.

Having won at Amersham earlier in the season, we will obviously be looking to do the double but it was a high scoring close game down there and they will undoubtedly be fighting hard for survival.

We have played our best rugby this year against the top sides in the league, so now it's time to show that we can put that same effort, concentration and determination against the less favoured teams.

So, a big game needed and some big help from the crowd and let's see if we can continue the upward move and finally step out of the relegation zone.

Come on Hertford.
