Su Irwin RIP

Very sad to report the recent passing of a great friend of Hertford RFC Su Irwin.

Su was the wife of Ant Irwin ,our Past President who died two and a half years ago.

She will be fondly remembered by many club members of a certain age as a regular attendee at Hoe Lane through the 1970's and 80's.

She had stoically battled numerous health issues over the past couple of decades but always managed a smile.

I remember Ant telling me once, "I wear the trousers in my household...... and I have Su's permission to say so."

I think that sums her up nicely.

Their son Mike has asked me to pass on the following message for any members who wish to know the arrangements.

"Mum died peacefully on Wednesday 9th January with Mike and Andrew by her side.
The funeral will be held at 15.20 on Friday 25th January 2019 at West Herts Crematorium WD25 0JS and friends and family are all welcome back to 3 Sherwood Avenue, St Albans, Herts, AL4 9QA for tea and sandwiches afterwards."
