After the great performances by the 1st XV, who lost with the last kick to League champions Colchester and a league winning performance by the awesome Termites last weekend, we thought we would share a bit of news on the coaching front.

As most know we have had a bit of a lack of stability on the coaching front this season, which makes some of the 1st XV performances even more encouraging.

We are very aware we need to sort that out and the 1st steps have been put in place.

Howard Parr's new work commitments have freed him on a more permanent basis and he will assume the responsibility of Head Coach. I'm sure the lads will be looking forward to some terrifying fitness sessions over the summer.

The lack of a dedicated backs coach has been a concern and for next season ,James Storey will take on the role. James has partnered Howard before at Bury St, Edmunds and also coached Hertford previously.

He has had 2 very successful years coaching the Colts and therefore has coached many of the 1st XV!

We are also very aware that we must keep up great work being done with the colts and will be making announcements on this and the rest of the coaching staff in the next few weeks.
