Matt gives us 'the shirt off of his back!'

This Saturday the 1st XV host Barnes at Hoe Lane. KO is at 3.00pm. Barnes have re-joined our league after few years run in the lofty heights of Nat.2. This fixture has seen some high scoring battles in the past so here’s hoping for more of the same with the home advantage prominent.

Our thanks go to Continuum Insurance for their continued support for the club including their role of Match day Sponsors this weekend.

At half time on Saturday we have a special event when Matt Bendin will present his England Counties U20’s shirt to the club. Matt made his 1st XV debut for the club two seasons ago at the age of 17 and last year played for both the full county side and England Counties U20’s.

It would be great to see some of our next generations on the touch line to see this and be inspired.

We also welcome many new faces to the pre match lunch as 9 local pubs have taken tables. We welcome
The Rose and Crown, Ware
The Millstream, Hertford
The Quiet Man, Hertford
The George and Dragon, Watton at Stone
The Tally Ho, Barkway
The High Oak, Ware
The Woodman, Chapmore End
The Old Cross Tavern, Hertford.
The Brown Bear, Braughing.

You are all very welcome and we hope we can persuade a few of you to pull on some boots sometime soon.

The 2nd XV travel to Bury St. Edmunds with a very strong looking squad for another tough fixture.
The ‘Hoes’ and ‘Termites’ have been left disappointed after their opponents cried off this morning.
