Apologies for tardy posting this week but work and watching the men in Green take a step closer to the triple crown took over. But fear not , occasional contributor and match reporter Peter Hale has given his view and match preview. Thank you Peter.
The fight for Regional 1 league status continues at Hoe Lane this weekend as Hertford welcome Shelford, who sit 6 points behind us in 11th place.
After an impressive run of 3 consecutive bonus point wins ended on the road last weekend against Old Northamptions, the team will be striving for a maximum point victory to kickstart another winning streak that will propel us up the table.
We are boosted by the return of Tremaine Fry, who has been an integral player in recent years. His experience and know-how will be a great catalyst.
There is also a shift around in the backs as Ollie Cook moves to outside centre and Joe Robinson returns from university to start on the wing.
Visitors Shelford will take confidence from their 20-3 victory against Hertford earlier on in the season, and they will be searching for a repeat performance as they aim to enhance their own survival hopes.
Elsewhere, the 2s travel to Southend on a high after securing back-to-back league wins. A 3rd straight victory would help their push towards a top 3 finish.
‘Looking forward to seeing positive results at fortress pain and Southend.
See you at the bar. Mine’s a gin’
