Hi all,

It was a good win for us last week against Towcester, although as coaches we were not entirely happy with the performance, as we felt we probably left 20 points out there. Our game management was not quite where we would like it to be and we have worked hard in training this week to rectify those issues.

We go to Sutton and Epsom this Saturday and need to be focused from the start.

The front row brigade sees a couple of changes this week, with Louis Castiglione ruled out for 3 weeks with a hairline fracture of his thumb and Harry Morgan pulling his hamstring on Tuesday night. It gives Jon Patton his first start of the season and i could not be happier for him. JP started the season in the 3rd XV but has worked hard and played consistently well in the 2nd XV. It's also testament to him that he has not missed a single training session. The club is built on guys like Jonny. Chris Joyce remains at hooker and Geoff Hughes at tighthead as both are playing well. Josh Hewitt is on the bench after recovering from a shoulder issue.

James Keens and James Kinsley combine again in the boiler room. They make a good partnership with the combination of a bludgeon and the rapier. You work it out!

The back row remains the same with Jack Elston, Josh Corcoran and Torran MacDougall starting, and Dave Archer on the bench. It gives us a good balance in the back row with Dave also able to cover second row and back row. Chris Joannou and Dan Belton remain on the injured list for this week.

Ben Creasey remains at scrum half and Rory Seymour starts at fly half, with Ben Lloyd missing out this week due to injury.

The centres remain the same, with Richard Streets and Aaron Lowe and the wingers are Joe Stockwell and Michael Allen, with the latter returning to the side after a week off, with Sean Taylor at fullback. The backs replacement is Sam Walker who played well on his debut last week.

Unfortunately, the 2nd XV game has been cancelled for the second week in a row, with the opposition pulling out.

Last of all, and definitely not least, we would like to wish Charlie Stringer the speediest of recoveries from all the boys and coaching staff!!!

See you Saturday.

Cheers Baz
