VICE PRESIDENTS
Being elected a Vice President at Hertford RFC is recognition by the Club's Executive Board of the services and time dedicated by a Club Member for a role performed within the Club, be it on or off the pitch.
Vice Presidents are elected annually at the Club's AGM. Nominations and reasons for making a Club Member a Vice President should be submitted in writing to the Club Chair by the end of April.
At the AGM, held at the Club on 08th July 2025, the following Members were elected to become Vice Presidents:
Also at the AGM, current VP’s Tony Burr and Barry Oakeby were elected to become Honorary Life Vice Presidents.
Instead of a specific Membership Fee, Vice Presidents are kindly requested to make a donation. As a guidance, £80 per annum is the recommended minimum donation (equivalent to a Non-Playing Membership Fee), but any amount is always gratefully received and appreciated!
These donations provide a vital source of income to the Club, and it should be stressed that all this income goes towards the Club's general running expenses. They also greatly assist the Club's cashflow at the beginning of the season when there is a significant amount of expenses to be covered.
As a thank you for their donations the Vice Presidents are invited to an exclusive annual lunch held before a 1st XV home league game. For the 2025/26 season the lunch has been fixed for Saturday, 04th October 2025 when Colchester visit Hoe Lane. Invitations to this lunch are sent out by email.
VP ties can be purchased from the Club's shop. There is also a range of leisure clothing featuring the full Club logo or a small discreet "Stag & Posts" logo.
