Come and help run the Mini Section

It was fantastic to spend Wednesday evening at Hoe Lane assisting Dave Hynard, Pierre Bleriot and the Mini Section coaches run a fun training session for a mixed group of Minis players.

We are planning to run a last session on Weds 26th May 6:30 to 7:30pm, before we break for June.

Spending time with the Mini Section reinforced the fact that the Minis are the largest section in the club, the lifeblood and source of future players and supporters of the club in the years to come as parent and players develop their relationship with Hertford RFC.

Nothing gets achieved at the Club without the dedicated efforts of a number of volunteers who work hard on behalf of the membership to deliver the "Hertford Rugby Club experience"

Players naturally move through the club from Mini to Youth and as a result periodically we need to replace committee members, this is very much the case this season and we have the following vacancies.

Vice-Chair, Mini Section - Ultimately I'm looking for someone willing to work alongside me over the 2021/22 season, with a view to taking the role of Chair on.

Treasurer, Mini Section - Thanks to James Forbes for many years of service to the Minis, James has offered to shadow the new Minis Treasurer next season. Working with the Club Finance Sub-Committee, this role sets and administers the budget for the Mini Section.

Fixtures Secretary, Mini Section - Thanks to Ed Wade for his many years of service to the Minis, Ed has also volunteered to shadow the new Fixtures Secretary next season. This role sets up the fixture list for the Mini Section and requires liaison other clubs

U9 & U10 County Festival Committee - Finally, Hertford are very lucky to have been selected as hosts for the 2021/22 U9&U10 County Festival. This is a big opportunity to raise much-needed funds for the club if co-ordinated and promoted correctly, I'd like 5 volunteers from the U9 and U10 sections respectively to help and ensure that many hands make light work.

If any of these roles appeal, do please get in touch either on 07990 561347 or by email at gavin_howell@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks in advance
Gavin Howell, Hertford RFC Mini & Youth Chair
