LADIES RUGBY SECTION - 2016 / 2017
Hertford RFC are hosting an alternative Ladies Day*
WOMEN ENCOURAGED TO MEET THEIR
'INNER WARRIOR' AT HERTFORD RFC
Sunday 21st May, 11am - 1pm
For women and girls aged 15+
We'll be running training sessions from 11am - 1pm with Hertford coaches and
support from the RFU. These will include small groups and sessions for ladies and girls with no previous rugby experience.
The Hertford RFC Warrior Camp is a commitment free taster sessions teaching
participants key introductory skills and drills for rugby, with help on hand every step of the way. All people need to take
part are a pair of trainers and their usual workout gear.
The upcoming set of Warrior Camps follow on from 100 sessions which took place
across the country in January involving over 1,000 participants, many of whom new to rugby.
Stay on after the session for bubbles (beers and soft drinks also available)
and snacks, and to watch the Ladies county game Hertfordshire v Hampshire at the club (2pm kick off).

The ladies squad is a growing team within the successful Hertford Rugby club. Hertford
is a friendly, family orientated club with a strong links to the community. We have 5 pitches, flood lit training areas, changing
and shower facilities and more importantly a good club house and bar!
As we re-launch for the 2016 / 2017 season we will be arranging friendly fixtures
and tournaments, most of which will take place on Sundays (although not every week). The usual season runs from September to April.
We will be arranging fixtures with teams in the South East division, which includes Hertfordshire, Suffolk, Essex and Northamptonshire.
We are a sociable and friendly team who just love playing rugby! Players vary in
age (from 18 upwards) and playing standard from complete novice to veterans.
Previous rugby experience is not required!
We have competent coaches to ensure you learn all the skills and rules of the game.
All you need is enthusiasm and a liking for mud! Age, speed and size don't matter, as the beauty of rugby is that there is a position
to suit everyone. Gum shield, pads and boots will be required for the season training and matches.
Newcomers to the sport are welcome to come along and try it out. Now is a great time
to start! Training takes place on Sundays from 9am til 10am. If you are unsure or have any questions, please call Liz
Nolan on 07855 420739 to find out more.
When our ladies’ last competed in we finished mid-table in National Challenge
2: South East, East division, the season earlier we were second and only just pipped for promotion. Our glory season was 2006/2007,
which saw a convincing league victory – we plan to work our way back up to the top!
