ENGLAND RUGBY GRAND DRAW 2016 - 2017
“A simple and risk free way to raise
funds for your Club”
The Draw will take place at St Albans
RFC on Saturday, 1st April 2017
The RFU Grand Draw has the main fundraiser
for the Club's Projects Fund since it was established in 2010, having
generated income of around £30,000 in that time. It
is an incredibly easy way to raise income, with the Club retaining 90% of all ticket sales as a tax free donation less administration
and postage costs. For anyone that doesn’t know, the Projects Fund helps cover the cost of improvements to the Club house
and grounds that are for the benefit of all Club Members.
The Draw will take place at St Albans RFC on
Saturday, 1st April 2017. There are many prizes on offer including a £10,000 1st prize.
Last season, Hertford RFC came third in the
national table for “Clubs raising the most money” with Club Members selling / buying 7,032 tickets, our highest
number ever, and won a cash prize of £250 donated by Highlights Floodlighting. Bishop’s Stortford came 2nd having
sold 7,255 (ie just 223 tickets more than us!) but Selby came 1st, having sold an amazing 10,915 tickets.
Our figures for last season are as follows:
Tickets sales: £7,032.00
90% retained: £6,328.80
Less: £ 179.55
With this in mind we are asking our members to
buy or sell 20 tickets each to their families, friends & colleagues. The tickets (which come in books of 5 tickets) cost £1.00
each. There are more tickets available from the undersigned or from behind the Club bar if required.
The ticket stubs and monies (cheques made payable
to Hertford RFC) should be returned to Andy Green, 62 Fordwich Rise, Hertford, Herts, SG14 2BN by Sunday, 5th March 2017.
Please remember that for every £1 ticket sold
the Club retains 90p!
All completed ticket stubs and monies must be returned to:
a) your age group administrator if you are parent of
the mini or youth sections or;
b) the undersigned for all other Members.
Cheques should be made payable to Hertford RFC.
Anyone requiring additional tickets to sell can obtain them
from behind the bar.

Many thanks to all those members that have returned their completed ticket stubs
and monies to date. The total number of sold tickets currently stands at 2,370.
To those that haven’t...... We are
way below our sales target of 7,500. This is not an impossible aim as 7,032 were sold last year. To
help us try and reach this target the RFU have now given us an extension up to 26th March 17,
All sold tickets and monies must be received by the undersigned by the above date
and not a day later!
This is the Club’s most important fund raiser of the year, with the Club
retaining 90p from each £1 ticket sold as a tax free donation. All profit goes towards projects that enhance our facilities
at Hoe Lane, such as the new car park and driveway which is now looking very good indeed. Please therefore try to sell or buy
as many of your allocated tickets as possible. Your support is greatly appreciated!
