CHAIRMAN'S ANNOUNCEMENT

CLUB PURCHASE OF LAND ADJACENT TO HERTFORD RFC

"You may be aware that discussions have been underway for some considerable amount of time about the possibility of purchasing the land adjacent to the HRFC entrance off Hoe Lane (in effect the 35 acre field to the left as you drive into the current Hoe Lane site). I am delighted to say that the owners – The Rush Green Settlements Trustees – have accepted an offer and I am in the process, together with one or two HRFC members of taking matters forward ............................. this proposed purchase and potential liability to HRFC will be put to an EGM in advance of the exchange date and clearly without the support of our membership the purchase will not take place."

Note to Club members: Your annual Club membership subscription is targeted to just about cover the annually budgeted running costs of the Club. Other fundraising activities and initiatives, such as the RFU Grand Draw, our EasyFundraising on-line shopping facility (still just only 60 supporters have registered on EasyFundraising - and it costs you NOTHING to use), The 200 & 400 Clubs, the Club website Trades and Business Services advertising page and other various Club Social Events organised throughout the season, are intended to help us to raise additional funds that will go towards the Hertford RFC Development Fund (please click on the links for more info); all intended to help us to make further significant improvements to the Club and it's facilities for the benefit of ALL members. We would please ask that all members, where possible, could lend their full support towards these fundraising activities.
